Scheduled - The Athena dialup.mit.edu servers will be taken out of service and rebooted, in two groups, in order to receive software and security updates.
Most users will not need to take any action, but users with persistent sessions will need to be mindful of the following schedule and migrate their session accordingly:

Cognos Service Migration & Maintenance Aug 21, 2026 17:00 - Aug 23, 2026 12:00 EDT

The MIT Cognos service (reports.mit.edu) will be migrated to IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud between Friday, August 21, and Sunday, August 23.

To facilitate this migration, the service will be unavailable from 5:00 PM on August 21 through 12:00 PM on August 23.

We apologize for any inconvenience this service interruption may cause and appreciate your patience as we complete this transition.

Scheduled - Zoom Room equipment managed on campus by MSO will have a firmware update starting after midnight on Saturday August 15th and will take no more that a couple of minutes.  There should be little to no impact on the room functions.
