Scheduled Maintenance

dialup.mit.edu server maintenance Mar 24, 2026 17:00 - Mar 27, 2026 17:00 EDT

The Athena dialup.mit.edu servers will be taken out of service and rebooted, in two groups, in order to receive software and security updates, and migrate them to a different cloud.
Most users will not need to take any action, but users with persistent sessions will need to be mindful of the following schedule and migrate their session accordingly:

Tuesday evening, March 24:
- all-night-tool
- barber-pole
- castle-on-a-cloud
- hack-to-the-future

Friday afternoon, March 27:
- csail-squared

Action Required: Update Duo Mobile App by March 31 Mar 31, 2026 00:00-23:00 EDT

Duo Security is making a required update that affects Duo push notifications. If you use Duo push on your phone, you must update the Duo Mobile app to the latest version (via the App Store or Google Play) by March 31 to avoid authentication issues. More info: https://help.duo.com/s/article/9451
