Scheduled Network Maintenance - Building 8 Jan 22, 2026 06:30-09:00 EST

Due to scheduled network maintenance, MITnet BMS network — will be intermittently unavailable in Building 8 on Thursday 1/22/26, between 6:30am and 9:00am

Brief isolated outages will occur throughout the window as upgrades are performed on each switch.

SAP Production Planned Outage on Saturday, January 24th Jan 24, 2026 01:30-06:00 EST

The SAP production environment will be unavailable on Saturday, January 24 2026, between 01:30AM and 06:00AM. During this service outage, high priority security patches will be applied to the operating systems of the SAP production servers. Please note that, while this work is taking place, SAP, B2P, Facilities/Work-Manager and Inventory-Manager functionality, GAP, MIT Warehouse SAP data, along with all Atlas SAP activity (including time sheet entry/approval, training, requisitioning, journal vouchers, credit card verification, events planning, and service requests) will be unavailable.

Spectrum Protect (TSM): maintenance for backup-i Jan 26, 2026 10:00-14:00 EST

Update - We will be undergoing scheduled maintenance during this time.

Scheduled - The Spectrum Protect server backup-i will undergo maintenance. If all goes well, the work will take around 2 hours. During the outage IS&T will upgrade the Spectrum Protect server software.
Please note that during the upgrade backups to and restores from backup-i will be unavailable. This work will not affect other Spectrum Protect servers, or desktop backups made via Crashplan.

TSM: maintenance of w92-tsm-libmgr-2 (affecting tape mounts for all TSM servers) Jan 28, 2026 10:00-14:00 EST

The Spectrum Protect server w92-tsm-libmgr-2 will undergo maintenance. If all goes well, the work will take around 2 hours. During the outage IS&T will upgrade the Spectrum Protect server software.
Please note that during the upgrade, restore operations on any Spectrum Protect server may hang or fail. This work will not affect other Spectrum Protect servers, or desktop backups made via Crashplan.

Scheduled - Kuali Coeus (KC) System and MyCOI-OPA+ will offline beginning 9pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, for maintenance in preparation of the new MFTRP certification process. The work will be completed in 2 hours, with KC and MyCOI-OPA+ available just after 11pm.

Scheduled - IS&T will be re-routing traffic through a previously upgraded set of routers to test/verify a fix to a prior issue encountered post-upgrade.

No outages are expected if the fix resolves the previously encountered issue, but some connections through the campus firewalls may still need to be re-established.
