Scheduled Maintenance

Spectrum Protect (TSM): maintenance for backup-L Jan 13, 2026 10:00-14:00 EST

The Spectrum Protect server backup-L will undergo maintenance. If all goes well, the work will take around 2 hours. During the outage IS&T will upgrade the Spectrum Protect server software.
Please note that during the upgrade backups to and restores from backup-L will be unavailable. This work will not affect other Spectrum Protect servers, or desktop backups made via Crashplan.

Router Upgrade: MITnet Backbone & DMZ Jan 14, 2026 19:00-22:00 EST

IS&T will be re-routing traffic through a previously upgraded set of routers to test/verify a fix to a prior issue encountered post-upgrade.

No outages are expected if the fix resolves the previously encountered issue, but some connections through the campus firewalls may still need to be re-established.

OC11 Data-Center: Router Maintenance
Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed.

In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.

Scheduled - IS&T will be migrating multiple OC11 data-center subnets to a more advanced pair of routers. Brief temporary outages are expected as each subnet is migrated from the old router pair to the new.
